DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) Camera

A digital single-lens reflex camera, which is also known is short as DSLR camera, has an automatic mirror system which applies the theory of prentaprism wherein light is directed from the lens through the use of the viewfinder. The design of a DSLR is completely different from an ordinary digital camera. An ordinary digital camera exposes the sensor directly to the light which is projected by the lens whereas as DSLR camera uses its mirror arrangement to prohibit the scene from being viewed on the LCD. However, right now, some of the new DSLR models have a live preview feature where LCD can be used as viewfinder.

If you are contemplating of buying a DSLR camera, you have to take note of its features and operation system. Be aware of its differences. Be sure to distinguish which one is good and which is not for you since different DSLR camera has been designed for different purposes. Currently, you can get either a Professional DSLR (which always costs more than $1000) or a Consumer DSLR (less than $1000). A Professional DSLR has a wider range of features than a Consumer DSLR since these are the cameras that are used by journalists, advertisements makers, etc. However, don’t get me wrong. A consumer DSLR camera also have the capabilities to produce fine pictures which can be as good as the ones produced by a Professional DSLR. You’re not sure which DSLR camera you should get for yourself? Answer the questions below: 1) Will you sell more than 80% of the pictures you take? 2) Will you use the camera for commercial uses? (Wedding photography, journalism, etc) 3) Will you use the camera for modeling pictures purposes which need different types of lightings in one area at one time? If you answer YES to all three of the questions above, I suggest that you get a Professional DSLR camera. If you answer NO to any of the questions above, get a consumer DSLR camera. Consumer DSLR camera produces great pictures too!
